We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to replace the existing trailer fleet of leading underlay and flooring accessories supplier, Interfloor, with 56 new SDC curtainsider trailers being supplied on a long-term hire arrangement, including maintenance & repair, tyre management and telematics services.

TIP has acquired Trailer Auto Group (TAG), a state-of-the-art trailer refurbishment facility located in Stoke-on-Trent, to significantly strengthen its refurbishment offering.

We were delighted to attend the annual Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution Awards last week and honoured to come away with the award for ‘Rental and Contract Hire Company of the Year’.

Hot on the heels of its first UK trial of non-diesel trailer refrigeration systems, TIP is now trialling an alternative e-reefer technology, this time one that utilises energy recovered during braking or driving downhill to power the trailer’s refrigeration unit.

Our EHS team, with the support of our branch operations teams, raised £1,090 for this years charity bike ride by recycling used trailer curtains rather than allowing them to be discarded at landfill.

TIP is embarking on a 12-month trial in the UK of a zero-emission, battery and solar-powered transport refrigeration unit (TRU) that has been fitted to one of its refrigerated trailers (reefers).

TIP’s ‘Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ team has completed this year’s charity cycle ride, cycling approximately 300 kms from Zurich to Munich in 3 days. Support for this year’s effort, dubbed the ‘10-year Ich’, has seen the fundraising target smashed, and more than £90,000 raised so far for the Douglie Mac hospice.

Following development work done recently, TIP Hull now boasts a spacious, truck-dedicated, 3-bay workshop to provide maintenance & repair services on tractor units, rigid trucks and many specialist vehicles.
